1.0 Mary R. (McCartney) Story
(November 16, 1810 - March 6, 1896)
Mary, the oldest of Robert and Lydia's children, was born in Bedford Co.,
PA (source: McCartney family bible) and married Reuben R. Story September
24, 1838 in Marion Co., OH (Marion, OH Public Library, Marriage Index,
Vol. 2, p. 126). Mary and her husband remained in Iberia, OH and did
not travel on to Iowa with Mary's other siblings (Historical Collections
of Ohio in Two Volumes: An Encyclopedia of the State by Henry Howe, Vol.
II. Cincinnati, Ohio: C.J. Krehbiel & Co., 1902 (pg. 319-321). Mary
and Reuben's four children were (1) Margaret Ann; (2) Mary Lavina; (3) Leonidas
T.; and (4) Alfred Francis. Brothers Leonidas T. and Alfred F. and their
families moved on to Ramsey County, MN where they settled until their death.
Mary and Ruben are buried in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia (see photo above).

1.1 Margaret Ann Story born in Iberia, Morrow Co., OH April 24, 1839
married Samuel Dixon Cass September 25, 1855 in Iberia. Samuel was born in
1819. Margaret and Samuel's eight children were (1) Vienna; (2) John C.F.;
(3) Guidferd D.; (4) Eugene B.; (5) Webster; (6) Clifford; (7) Paul; and (8)
Ward W. Margaret passed away March 26, 1920 at the age of 80 and Samuel, nine
years earlier at the age of 92 in 1911. Margaret and Samuel are buried in
Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.
1.1.1 Vienna Cass [daughter of Margaret
A.] was born in 1856 and died in 1922.
1.1.2 John C. Fremont Cass [son of Margaret
A.] born in 1858 married Della E. Nesbitt. John passed away in 1896 and Della
in 1930.
1.1.3 Guidferd Dudley Cass [son of Margaret
A.] was born in 1862.
1.1.4 Eugene B. Cass[son of Margaret A.]
was born in 1865 and died in 1933.
1.1.5 D. Webster Cass [son of Margaret
A.] was born in 1867.
1.1.6 Henry Clifford Cass [son of Margaret
A.] was born in 1873.
1.1.7 Paul Cass [son of Margaret A.] was
born in 1875.
1.1.8 Ward W. Cass [son of Margaret A.]was
born in 1881.
Washington Twp.- S.D. Cass, farmer; P.O., Iberia; was born in Portland,
Chautauqua Co., N.Y., Feb. 14, 1819; his father, Joseph Cass, was a native
of Vermont, and his mother, Miss Jane Dixon, of Cherry Valley, N.Y. Mr. Cass
came with his parents to Ohio in 1838, and settled near Mt. Vernon, Knox Co.,
where he remained about twelve years; four years were passed in South Bloomfield,
Morrow Co., when he removed to Washington Tp., and located where he now resides.
In 1855 he married Miss Martha Ann Story, whose early home was near their
present location. They have seven children--Vienna, 23; J.C. Fremont, 21;
G. Dudley, 20; Eugene B., 15; D. Webster, 13; Henry C., 7; and Paul 5 years
of age. Mr. Cass has always been engaged in farming, though he has taught
school eighteen winters in succession, superintending his farm the while.

1.2 Mary Lavina Story born July 10, 1840 in Marion Co., OH married
George Hill Novemer 16, 1859. Mary and George's five children were (1) James
Leroy; (2) Eva May; (3) Envela G.; (4) Mary Etta; and (5) Sierra Nevada. Mary
passed away July 10, 1893 and George June 16, 1898. Mary and George are buried
in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia.
1.2.1 James Leroy Hill [son of Mary L.]
born November 10, 1860 married Ann ??? and died October 4, 1916 and is buried
in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia, Morrow Co., OH.
1.2.2 Eva May Hill [daughter of Mary L.]
born August 11, 1862 in Morrow Co., OH married Robert Chalmers Blayney and
died in 1946.
1.2.3 Envela G. Hill [daughter of Mary
L.] born August 28, 1864 in Morrow Co., OH passed away before 1870 also in
MorrowCo.
1.2.4 Mary Etta Hill [daughter of Mary
L.] born October 2, 1865 in Morrow Co., OH married Emmanuel Wesley Schreck
April 7, 1887 in Morrow Co. and passed away July 1, 1949 in Marion Co., OH.
1.2.5 Sierra Nevada Hill [daughter of Mary
L.] born November 26, 1870 in Morrow Co., OH married William Vinton Blayney
and passed away October 31, 1944 in Galion, Crawford Co., OH.
1.3 Leonidas T. Story born April 1849 in Marion Co., OH
married (1) Phebe C. before 1880 and (2) Frances M. Leonidas passed away August
22, 1932 in Ramsey Co., MN.
1.4 Alfred Francis Story born November 1853 in Marion Co.,
OH married Emma Adelaide Perkins. Alfred and Emma's two children were (1)
Leonidas Perkins M.; and (2) Benjamin Morse. It is interesting to note
that Alfred and Emma's son Benjamin was the first of five successive generations
of Benjamin's descendants to be named as "Benjamin Morse Story",
all residing in Ramsey County, MN. Alfred passed away March 14, 1937 and Emma
May 23, 1936. Alfred and Emma are buried in Acacia Park, St. Paul, MN.
1.4.1 Leonidas Perkins M. Story [son of
Alfred F.] born November 1, 1879 in Morrison Co., MN passed away October 20,
1953. Leonidas is buried in St. Paul, MN.
1.4.2 Benjamin Morse Story [son of Alfred
F.] born May 7, 1885 married Ruth F. ??? about 1907. Benjamin passed away
May 5, 1971 and Ruth December 4, 1966.
